My time lapse footage of the “Blood Red” Lunar Eclipse. The video is in four segments where the moon transgresses across the screen. I set the camera and then let the moon cross the viewfinder, rest and make slight exposure adjustments and let it record. Each transgression takes around 16 minutes, and it was sped up at 4000%, making the time-lapse effect.
No particular post work beyond the basic D-Log color conversion and a little sharpening. Depending on the exposure the red-orange effect on the moon would become more pronounced. The sharp lighting difference in the last segment shows the dark areas losing the reddish glow.
Filmed on a Canon 90D camera with a Sigma Art Series 100-400 zoom fully zoomed. 1/2 sec exposure at f6.3, iso started at 6400. I adjusted the iso between segments to account for the increasing light as the shadow edge moved across the lunar surface.
